Roz is a medium sized retriever/Chow mix. She has a gentle temperament and enjoys praise. Roz came to us with a horribly matted coat and heartworms. She is slowly but surely losing that brittle thick coat for a sleek and shiny new look head to toe (She’s also about half her original size now that she has gotten rid of all that dead fur!). It’s amazing what a little care and a good diet will do! Roz has been treated for her heartworms and is in recovery mode. She will have to remain calm and not get her heart rate up for another month before she’s in the clear. She was a good patient for the vet and the staff raved about how sweet-natured and quiet she was. Roz does well with a canine buddy, but would probably be fine as the only dog in a house. Not yet ready to adopt? You can sponsor a pet now to help pay for medical expenses, special diets, toys and treats, emergency medical care, etc., to provide for him or her during foster care. Our adoption fee rarely covers our expenses, so any size donation is appreciated! ******************************************** All of our dogs are fostered in our homes so we know their temperaments. They are spayed or neutered, up to date on shots, de-wormed, heartworm tested (and treated if necessary), and on flea and heartworm prevention. Our adoption fee begins at $150.00 for all of our dogs and puppies. Our goal is to match our animals to the best home possible. Please email adoptions@cofas.org for more information.
